The two teams that have dominated the tournament so far now square off against each other. The battle between two of the strongest team in the competition so far will be very important. Both teams are most likely to play against each other in playoffs and eliminator so how much do they hide and how much do they reveal will be interesting to see. Here is how the playing XI shape up.
Chennai Super Kings
Dhoni’s army lost the other night to Rajasthan Royals. They were playing at RR’s home venue and after being asked to bat first, they failed to put on a mammoth total. Their bowling was lackluster and fielding was below standard too.
The defeat exposed the chinks in the armor of Chennai which they will like to repair before moving into the playoffs stage. CSK are on the second position with seven wins and still have three matches to go.
In the last match, they dropped Lungi Ngidi and Dhruv Shorey to bring in Karn Sharma and Sam Billings. The easier decision for CSK will be to the reverse changes from the last match.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
SRH has been tremendous in the season with their bowling firing consistently. The combination of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddarth Kaul, Sandeep Sharma, Rashid Khan and Shakib Al Hasan is finishing the jobs. They have been using these five bowlers to extremely well.
They are through to the playoffs with their smashing win against Delhi Daredevils. After defending the totals successfully, they managed to chase one brilliantly as well. Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson batted superbly in the last match.
In the last match, SRH made one change to their playing XI as they brought in Sreevats Goswami to replace Wriddhimaan Saha. They may try out few places now that they are confirmed for playoffs.
