IPL 2018: Match 5 (CSK vs KKR) – Probable XI

IPL moves to the fourth day after ups and downs. Next match will be at the venue where IPL has not been played in the last two years. Chennai Super Kings who were on a two-year hiatus are back in the IPL amidst the incredible support of the legion of followers that it has built in all these years. They will be hosting KKR at the Chidambaram Stadium which will be all painted in yellow.

Chennai Super Kings:

The team is returning to the IPL after two years started off their campaign brilliantly. Dwayne Bravo emerged as the hero of the night as he rescued Chennai team from the depth of darkness. Kedar Jadhav in a brave display took them over the rope.

CSK in the first match ditched Murali Vijay and opened with Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu. Rest of the batting line-up was quite predictable. In bowling, they had Mark Wood and Deepak Chahar to make the most of seaming conditions.

Ravindra Jadeja was the biggest disappointment of the match as he bowled only one over and could not score runs at a brisk rate. CSK will persist with him though. Kedar Jadhav is injured and out of the IPL. Du Plessis will not be playing in this match as well.

The probable XI is –

Murali Vijay, Shane Watson(O), Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni, Ambati Rayudu,  Dwayne Bravo (O), Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh, Imran Tahir (O), Mark Wood (O), Deepak Chahar.

Kolkata Knight Riders:

KKR stormed to an easy win against the much-favored team of Royal Challengers Bangalore. They chased down 179 runs with seven balls in hand. Sunil Narine smacked the fastest fifty of the IPL and blew away the challenge of Challengers.

The bowling department did well in holding up Virat Kohli. ABD did thrash the bowling but he can do that against the bests also. On a spinning track, Kolkata Knight Riders will be very strong.

One of the major disappointment for KKR was the performance of Vinay Kumar. He was taken apart for 30 runs in the two overs. He sneaked in with two wickets but he was smacked. Chris Lynn and Robbie Uthappa will also want to perform better.
