The two contrasting teams of this season’s IPL are now up against each other. While one team is bursting with young energy and passion the other team is full of years of Cricket experience. The Delhi-team led by Shreyas Iyer will be up against the wisdom of MS Dhoni and his yellow army. While the match may not make any impact on the points table, it will be a hard-fought match without a doubt. Here are the probable playing XI.

Chennai Super Kings

Dhoni’s army cleaned up the Hyderabadi team in their last match and defeated the top team with ease. Chennai in the last match became the first team to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad while chasing the total.

After Deepak Chahar returned to boos their bowling, it was the man in-form Ambati Rayudu who smacked his maiden IPL century to thrash team SRH.

In the last match, they dropped Karn Sharma to include Deepak Chahar. Now with their place safe in the playoffs, few experiments will be done in the team. Choose carefully.

Playing XI

Harbhajan Singh, Shane Watson, Dwayne Bravo, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja/Karn Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, David Willey, Deepak Chahar, Sam Billings, Shardul Thakur/KM Asif/N Jagadeesan

Delhi Daredevils:

The young team under Shreyas Iyer has not won many matches but it is winning hearts. Prithvi Shaw at the top, Pant and Iyer in the middle order have been excellent with the bat and have put up a stellar show consistently. Rishabh Pant’s batting has been fabulous throughout.

In the last match of Delhi, their batting began sluggishly but it was Pant who provided all the momentum to the innings. This was at his attacking best but the biggest surprise came from Abhishek Sharma as he blasted 46 from 19 balls.

Delhi made three changes in the last match. They brought in Abhishek Sharma, Junior Dala and Sandeep Lamicchane. Dala might get dropped to take back Plunkett.

Playing XI –
