During the 27th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Pune, Mumbai Indians’ Mitchell McClenaghan bowled an economical over to hold back the opposition during the death overs.

After Rohit Sharma won the toss and put the Super Kings in to bat, the home team started on a slow note. Their run rate saw an upward curve only after Suresh Raina joined Ambati Rayudu in the middle. Once Rayudu got out, MS Dhoni looked set to play a substantial innings, but the slog overs were not the most productive ones for them.

McClenaghan’s dismissal of Dhoni was checked for a no-ball.

McClenaghan, who took the new ball for Mumbai Indians, was brought back into the attack to complete his full quota in the 18th over. On the first ball of the over, a full toss saw Dhoni (26) hitting it straight to Evin Lewis at deep extra over. The umpires had suspected the ball to be a waste-high no-ball. Upon several replays, it was evident that it was a legal delivery.

A delivery later, Dwayne Bravo (0) was seen swinging at a delivery. With minimal of timing, the ball off in the air to Mayank Markande at point. At the end of the over, McClenaghan had only conceded four runs and picked up two wickets. He ended up with bowling figures of 4-0-26-2.
