IPL 2018: MS Dhoni belts Mitchell Johnson for a couple of sixes

During the 33rd match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Kolkata, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, captain of Chennai Super Kings, scored a couple of sixes in one Mitchell Johnson over to provide some much-needed momentum to his team.

Dinesh Karthik, captain of Kolkata Knight Riders, had won the toss and chose to field. Knight Riders had included Rinku Singh in the playing eleven in place of Nitish Rana. On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings fielded an unchanged playing eleven.

Chennai Super Kings started on a positive note after all their top three batsmen provided them with quality starts. Dhoni had come in to bat at No. 5 in the 12th over when Suresh Raina was dismissed.

Johnson, who had opened the bowling for the Knight Riders, was called in to complete his quota of overs. In which was the 17th over of the innings, Dhoni belted the second ball of the over for a towering six over deep midwicket.

On the penultimate ball of the over, Dhoni cleared his front leg and hit the ball for another six over long on. Watch the full video:
