Six games into the Indian Premier League and the points table is already taking shape. While there have been few surprising performers, the marquee players have given the player a miss so far and the franchises would ideally want to big names to stand up and get counted.

Although there have been a couple of humdingers already, the teams are only getting into the groove and the upcoming week might give us better insight into how the teams actually pan out.

Chennai Super Kings have played two matches, were on the cusp of losing both and then scripted an amazing heist to stand on the winner’s podium.

Sunrisers Hyderabad looks a solid unit despite the absence of David Warner, Kolkata Knight Riders have box-office players at their disposal, while Mumbai Indians would ideally want to get their team combination sorted sooner rather than later.

Kings XI Punjab has adopted quite a refreshing approach, while Rajasthan Royals have become prudent over the two matches and Delhi Daredevils need to start winning after having match-winners up their sleeve.

As has been mentioned before, none of the marquee players have made their presence felt with the bat so far, the orange cap as of now is sitting firmly with Andre Russell. However, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and the rest will have something to say about this after the week ends.

As far as the bowler, this season has already seen the importance of leg-spinners and hence it is no surprise that every team has one in their team. While Shane Watson tops the list currently, the league has just started and bowlers who are genuine match-winners will want to get amongst the wickets fairly soon.
