  1. Kings XI Punjab (4.5/10)

Kings XI Punjab had a dream start but suddenly they moved out from that momentum. They finished at the seventh position with 12 points as they won 6 games. However, in the early stage, they were the hot favourite to win the tournament as they won five games in their first six games. But then they lost the momentum totally and managed to win only one game in their last eight games including consecutive defeats in the last five games. As per time progresses, the team was depended too much on the too few players.

Batting: Opener KL Rahul was in the brilliant form and only consistent batsman for the team in the whole tournament. Chris Gayle began very well in the tournament with his familiar attacking batting style but soon he faded. Other batsmen hugely disappointed who hardly took any responsibility in this season.

Bowling: Like batting, KXIP was dependent on too few players in their bowling. Australian Pacer Andrew Tye and young Afghan spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman were very consistent in their roles while another pacer Ankit Rajpoot also impressed. But, the other bowlers failed to come out on their expectation.
