- Mumbai Indians (6/10)

Like their most of previous IPL season, the defending champions Mumbai Indians had a really poor start and then made a superb comeback. However, this time they were just failed to qualify for the playoffs as they finished at the fifth position with 12 points. Out of their six victories, they won only two games in the first seven matches. With some consistent victories at the later stage, the defending champions came very close to qualify for the playoffs but just failed at the end.
Batting: Opener Suryakumar Yadav was in good form while another opener Evin Lewis performed better in the second half of this season. It was the worst IPL season with the bat for the skipper Rohit Sharma. Most of the other teammates were very inconsistent while young Ishan Kishan impressed with the bat.
Bowling: Bowling was better than their batting in this season. Pacers Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah were very consistent while the young leggie Mayank Markande impressed in the early stage.
