IPL 2018: Ravindra Jadeja grabs a screamer

During the 27th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Pune, Chennai Super Kings’ Ravindra Jadeja grabbed a screamer at deep midwicket to dent the opposition in the chase.

After Rohit Sharma won the toss and put the home team in to bat, Chennai Super Kings scored 169-5 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Their innings was powered by Suresh Raina’s 33rd IPL half-century, 75* (47), with the help of six fours and four sixes.

Jadeja grabbed a screamer.

In the second innings, Mumbai Indians started on a cautious note for they must have realized that what they were chasing was very much possible given the scores which have been chased in this tournament. At the end of the powerplay, Mumbai had scored 50-0.

In which came as the first blow to Mumbai Indians, Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed by Harbhajan Singh. It happened penultimate delivery of the 10th over when Yadav pulled a Harbhajan delivery towards the midwicket region. It was a sensational running-cum-sliding catch which saw the end of Yadav. He ended up scoring 44 (34) with the help of five fours and a six.
