Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) remaining home matches in this IPL season have been shifted from Chennai to Pune due to the present security concern over the protest on Cauvery water issue. CSK’s new hero Sam Billings recently posted in his Twitter account about this which has won lots of hearts.
Various group of protestors demanded CSK to cancel their home matches at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai until the solution of the Cauvery water issue. It resulted, CSK has shifted their remaining six home matches at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.

After completion of the two-year suspension, CSK played their first home games at Chepauk on Tuesday night against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) where Sam Billings’ heroic knock helped the hosts to secure a thrilling victory. But, the city police are unable to provide further security in the recent situation as the home matches have been shifted to Pune.
IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla said on Wednesday, “The matches had to be shifted out as the city police said they would be unable to provide security in this situation.”
Meanwhile, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan showed his disappointment at not getting any more chances to play further home games at MA Chidambaram Stadium.
He told TOI, “It’s a disappointing day for us because we did our best to prepare MA Chidambaram Stadium for the event. We don’t have a say about the choice of the alternative venue. BCCI wanted us to play in Pune and we will do that.”

On the other hand, CSK’s Tuesday night hero Sam Billings has felt sad on the home venue changes. On his official Twitter account, Billings shared his thought. He also wished to recover soon for a CSK fan who was badly hurt during the protest. The English cricketer also wished to resolve all the issues quickly.
On his Twitter account, Billings wrote, “Gutted that we have had to move from Chepauk, the atmosphere was unbelievable! Thoughts with the fan who was badly hurt last night, no one should go to watch & end up in hospital. Hope he recovers soon & all issues are resolved. Keep supporting us it makes a huge difference!”

Pune is good venue for CSK home matches. Last year, PSG won 5 of their 7 home games there. Its Dhoni's hometown too. So crowd support will be exactly like Chepauk. Go go #CSK
