During the 43rd match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Jaipur, Chennai Super Kings’ Shane Watson and Suresh scored a six each in an Ish Sodhi over, scoring 16 runs in the over.
MS Dhoni, captain of Chennai Super Kings, had won the toss and chose to bat. Chennai Super Kings included Sam Billings and Karn Sharma into their playing eleven in place of Dhruv Shorey and Lungi Ngidi. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals handed an IPL debut to Prashant Chopra. Ankit Sharma was also included for the first time in this season. They replaced Mahipal Lomror and Anureet Singh.
Despite losing the in-form Ambati Rayudu (12) in the third over itself, the Super Kings’ progress wasn’t hindered for both Watson and Suresh Raina looked set from the word go and were scoring at a brisk rate.
Sodhi was introduced into the attack in the first over after the powerplay. On the first delivery of his second over, the ninth of the innings, Watson hit a half-tracker for a towering six over deep mid-wicket. Watch the video:
