Delhi Daredevils (DD) has another disappointing season in IPL 2018 as they are finishing at the bottom of the points table. After their first six games in this season, Gautam Gambhir left his captaincy role and Shreyas Iyer was selected as the new captain. Though DD much improved under Iyer’s captaincy, they failed to show that at the points table. Before their recent meeting against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Iyer posted a beautiful message for CSK captain MS Dhoni. Later, Iyer’s toss made unstoppable laugh for the CSK captain.
Iyer posted that beautiful message before the 52nd game of IPL 2018 which was between the hosts DD and the visitors CSK at Feroz Shah Kotla (Delhi). Earlier, they met once in this IPL season at Pune on April 30 where CSK beat them by 13 runs after they scored 211/4 at the first batting.
While the Delhi game was the dead-rubber game in this season, Iyer requested the home fans through his Instagram account to come and support them on the field. In that post, he also shared a beautiful message for former Indian cricket team captain and present CSK captain MS Dhoni.
The post was, “I was just 10 years old when Mahi bhai made his debut for Team India. Have always looked up to him as a leader and as a player. Standing besides him for the toss the other night in Pune was unreal. Tonight is another such night. Wish us the best and come support us at Kotla.“
At the toss of that game, MS Dhoni had an unstoppable laugh after seeing Iyer’s unusual toss that landed on fair distance. CSK skipper won the toss and decided to field first.

Despite the initial struggle, DD managed to put 162/5 on the board in 20 overs after the superb late batting performance. In reply, CSK batsmen failed to chase that target as Delhi restricted them for 128/6 in 20 overs and won the game by 34 runs.
