With the end of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), it’s difficult for the fans to get over the hangover of the cash-rich T20 extravaganza. However, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) got defeated by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the final of the tournament by 8 wickets. On the batting front, Kane Williamson earned the orange cap with 735 runs in 17 innings at a strike rate of 142, while on the bowling front, surprisingly, the Punjab pacer, Andrew Tye is donning the purple cap as he has scalped 24 wickets and maintained an economy of 8 in first 14 games.
Apart from batting and bowling, fielding has also been phenomenal from almost all the teams all through the tournament as well. Let us have a look at ten of the best catches of IPL 2018. (P.S – It was difficult to choose just 10).
1. Ben Stokes (RR vs KKR)
In the match between RR and KKR, what came as a reprieve for the Royals was the wicket of Robin Uthappa. On the third delivery of the 13th over, Uthappa stepped out of his crease to hit the ball over the long on fielder. To his surprise, a leaping Ben Stokes had come in the way of the ball, taking a superb catch to put a halt to his innings. Firs his caught the ball comfortably but lost his balance and was going onto ropes, then he decided to throw the ball in the air came back to take a beauty. Watch the video here:
