With the end of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), it’s difficult for the fans to get over the hangover of the cash-rich T20 extravaganza. However, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) got defeated by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the final of the tournament by 8 wickets. On the batting front, Kane Williamson earned the orange cap with 735 runs in 17 innings at a strike rate of 142, while on the bowling front, surprisingly, the Punjab pacer, Andrew Tye got the purple cap as he has scalped 24 wickets and maintained an economy of 8 in first 14 games.

Apart from batting and bowling and fielding, there have been some of the veteran cricketers in the IPL 2018, who failed perform up to the expectations and there are certain chances that they will not be playing in the upcoming seasons of India’s biggest money-spinner. Let us have a look at 5 such players who can retire and no more play IPL any further.

1. Vinay Kumar (KKR)

Vinay Kumar

Vinay Kumar started the 11th edition of the IPl on a very rough as he gave away as many as 30 runs in just 2 overs he bowled for KKR against RCB but picked two wickets as well. However, the similar sort of stuff happened in the next game against CSK as well, as he gave away 35 runs in just 11 balls he delivered picking any more wickets. And as a result of that, he didn’t play any further matches in the season. He needs to improve his game to top notch in order to get picked in the next season.
