IPL 2018: Twitter reactions on Royal Challengers Bangalore’s dismal innings

During the 35th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Pune, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored a paltry 127-9 in their allotted quota of 20 overs.

After MS Dhoni won the toss and put the visitors into bat, Royal Challengers lost wickets from the word go. After losing Brendon McCullum in the second over, Bangalore recovered in the powerplay, scoring 47-1. However, just after the powerplay finished, wickets started to tumble. At the halfway mark, Royal Challengers had scored 68-1.

Starting from a couple of overs later, they lost four wickets for five runs. It was a period in their innings which sucked life from their innings. Tim Southee, who came in to bat at No. 8 in the 14th over, fought till the end to score 36* (26) with the help of three fours and a six.

Parthiv Patel, who was playing his first match in this season, top-scored with 53 (41). His innings comprised of five fours and two sixes. With bowling figures of 4-0-18-3, Ravindra Jadeja was the pick of the Chennai Super Kings bowler.
