The most eagerly awaited comeback for the IPL this year was that of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team. The yellow jersey is back in the IPL after completing the two-year suspension imposed as their owners were found guilty of corruption. Chennai boasts one of the greatest fan bases which is extremely devoted to its beloved team. Their joy knew no bounds when MS Dhoni’s return at the helm of CSK was confirmed. However, they have a bunch of loopholes to be filled in IPL 2018. This year they will play the tournament opener against their biggest rival Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede stadium.

After the comeback of the most successive IPL captain to his own den and still manage to receive the same amount of love from the fans, left Dhoni filled with emotions. While addressing the media, he said, “What’s important is…(full of tears)… to go through every new phase…(full of tears)…(cleared his throat)…but, what’s next is, what is important for us. We are back, we are back, as a whole team, thanks to all the sponsors who all are part of us (huge round of applause in the background)”.

Chennai will play their first home game is on April 10 against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Chepauk stadium ready to welcome its thala, MS Dhoni with open arms and swarms of supporters. Talking to Twitter, CSk wrote, “Mahi maar rahe hai! @msdhoni #Thala #WhistlePodu ????????,”

MS Dhoni and Chennai, the love between both are mutual. Dhoni gets twice the love than what he gives to the yellow army of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans. How much shocking it may sound, but on Thursday, during a live press conference in Chennai he was found crying on the stage. He felt that he has disappointed his fans and he is grateful for the love his fans give him.

We have requested for more security personnel from tomorrow to ensure things are in control.”
