Middle Order
Mayank Agarwal (KXIP) – 123 runs
Mayank Agarwal has always been a heavy run-scorer in the domestic circuit but, he was failing to replicate the form in quite a few seasons of IPL, but in this season, he has been rather unlucky. More often than not, he has failed to maintain the consistency in the tournament leading to severe disappointment. He has started off well with 123 runs in 3 matches at an average of 41. His 21-ball 43 against the Mumbai Indians helped KXIP win the game as well and now his form is expected to get better from here.
Nitish Rana (KKR) – 132 runs
Nitish Rana has become the x-factor for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2019. He was always regarded to be talented but never managed to create as big an impact as he did in the first week of this season. In the opening game, he opened the innings against SRH and did the job for his team. Batting at four against KXIP, he mustered an aggressive 63 from 34 balls in that game but failed to deliver in the third match against Delhi Capitals. He finished the week with 132 runs in 3 games at an average of 44.
WATCH – MS Dhoni Finishes The Innings With Three Sixes
MS Dhoni (c & wk) (CSK) – 107 runs
Hands down MS Dhoni is the captain of this’s week’s XI, especially after the last game against RR. He put his hand up when his team needed him the most when he scored 75* in just 43 balls. Even in the second game, he was unbeaten and took the team over the line. Mind you, he is yet to get out in IPL 2019. He has amassed 107 in two innings and even his average is 107 as well. Apart from that, the way Dhoni has managed his resources, he gave the perfect testimony of how experience can be used in the shortest format and even in a T20 game, a player has a lot of time than he can think.
