Imran Tahir has been the premier bowled for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He has almost delivered more often than not in IPL 2019 while playing for the defending champions and is one of the biggest reasons behind the team’s fine run this season. Despite the fact that he turned 40 just a few weeks ago, Tahir has been bowling CSK to memorable victories in the ongoing season.
His exploits with the ball, trademark celebration and his passion while plying his trade for the Super Kings have made him a cult figure among the CSK fans. The Proteas star is fast becoming one of the most popular overseas stalwarts in Chennai and he is making sure to keep the fans happy with his performances. And the fans are also making sure to do their bit. On Wednesday, one such fan took to Twitter to post a painting of Tahir.

Tahir was quick to justify the love he has received from the Super Kings fans by responding to the fans tweet quickly. He first apologized to the fans for failing to do well against Sunrisers Hyderabad before tweeting:
“Humbled by your love sir. Can imagine how long it would have taken for you to do this. Sorry didn’t bowl to the expectations you ppl have in me today. Apologies if given another chance to play will do my very best #yellow”

Imran is Chennai Super Kings’ highest wicket-taker in the season. With 16 wickets from 11 games under his belt, he is also second in the run or the Purple Cap winner. He has credited Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni for his performance this year. He said, “I have been working hard and playing with MSD, I have been learning a lot and I am really happy to be a part of CSK.”
