Defending Champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be locking horns with Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai for the 12th match of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Dashing batsman, Sanju Samson came to bat at number three after the dismissal of Jos Buttler. Samson took his time and formed a solid partnership with his skipper Ajinkya Rahane. They scored 119 runs for the second wicket and targeted every bowler in the process. Samson turned his beast mode on at the death overs and smashed 24 runs off one Bhuvneshwar Kumar over. He notched up the first ton of IPL 2019 in style and finished his innings for 102 off 55 including ten fours and four sixes.
