Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI) were playing in the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader. Hyderabad won the toss and asked Mumbai to bat first on a slow pitch of Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Mumbai found them in a spot of bother immediately as their top-three went back in the hut inside the first 10 overs. Kieron Pollard tried his best to take Mumbai’s total to 136/7 in 20 overs.

In response, Hyderabad openers were poor with the bat and their openers failed to give them a 50+ opening stand for the first time in this season. Jonny Bairstow got out to Rahul Chahar while David Warner was cleaned up by Alzarri Joseph, who was breathing fire on debut. Joseph ripped SRH’s batting lineup apart and registered the best IPL figures. Hyderabad got all out for just 96 runs and handed Mumbai a 40-run victory.
