The 22nd match of the Indian Premier League will be between Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mohali’s PCA Stadium. Both teams are coming from a defeat in their last match and will be itching to register a win in order to regain the momentum going forward into the tournament. Both teams have played five matches so far, where they won three games and lost two. Net run-rate is what keeping them distant from each other on the Points Table.
Kings XI Punjab
KXIP’s last game was against Chennai Super Kings, where they conceded a position of total dominance. After reducing Chennai to 160 runs. They were on the way to chase the target down but a miscalculation of run-chase cost them the match in last overs. KL Rahul and Sarfaraz Khan scored half-centuries but it went in vain CSK won the game by 22 runs.

Punjab may opt for few changes in their team for the game against Hyderabad. Mayank Agarwal got out for a duck in the last game and Karun Nair can replace him to play his first game of the season. Mohammed Shami also had a poor outing with the ball and can be replaced by Ankit Rajpoot.

Sunrisers Hyderabad
SRH lost their last game against Mumbai Indians on Saturday night. The rare batting failure was the reason behind this defeat as they failed to chase down the target of 137. Hyderabad got all out for just 96 runs in 17.4 overs, which is their lowest IPL total ever. Alzarri Joseph’s exceptional bowling spell of 6/12 was the main reason behind this defeat as he ran riot on Hyderabad’s batting lineup.

It has been three matches since Kane Williamson played for them and, if fit, can make a comeback in the next game against Punjab. In this case, Mohammad Nabi will make a way for him. Else, SRH will play with the same team that played against Mumbai.
