Russell has been in a terrific form this season and has the fourth-highest number of runs so far. In 6 matches, he has scored 257 runs at an average and strike rate of 128.50 and 212.39 respectively. In KKR’s last match against CSK, he was required to play an anchor’s role to perfection to stabilize the innings. He played a sensible knock of 44-ball 50 to take KKR to a relatively respectable total after the initial fall of wickets.  His strike rate is the highest in the tournament and has also hit the maximum number of sixes (25).
