After three losses in a row, last season’s runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has managed to come up with a couple of wins and now they are back in the race to reach the top four of the IPL 2019. In this same time, defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lost both their games but remain No 1 in the league with 14 points. On Tuesday, these two teams will be seen playing against each other for the second time in five days.

However, in the ongoing season of the cash-rich league, most of the SRH’s win with the help of some brilliant performers of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow, who have recorded all three of this season’s best totals in the Powerplay overs. The last time these two teams met was last week when Rashid Khan helped quell CSK’s batsmen before Warner and Bairstow put on a dominating opening partnership to end their team’s losing streak.

This will be the last match for Bairstow, who will return to England after this match and he will be expecting a fitting farewell. CSK are back home after two matches away from home and will be confident of getting back to winning ways. A win over SRH will give them 16 points and seal their place in the IPL 2019 playoffs. The issue for CSK is getting support for MS Dhoni, who nearly pulled off a victory over RCB on Sunday.

Back at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, CSK will be looking forward to using their spin bowling combination with the addition of Harbhajan Singh instead of Shardul Thakur. Shane Watson, after a run of low scores, could miss this game if the management opts for Mitchell Santner. In this scenario, Ambati Rayudu may get promoted back to the opening.
