The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) locked horns with each other and looking for a much-need win at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. After winning the toss, the RR skipper, Steve Smith decided to bowl first and soon after that the rain started pouring in and hence, the game got reduced to just 5 overs for each team.
During the toss, the RCB skipper, Virat Kohli revealed that they have made two changes in the squad as Shivam Dube and Washington Sundar made way for, Kulwant Khejroliya and Pawan Negi. On the other hand, RR made just one change as Mahipal Lomror came in place of Ashton Turner.”

After such delayed start, the Bangalore crowd was waiting for some fireworks and Kohli gave it was Varun Aaron who was bowling the first over and Virat smashed him over the long-off boundary. On the very next ball, Kohli again sliced the ball over the third man for another six. The men in the RCB dugout can’t hold on to it either. They smashed 23 runs in that over.
Kohli started the 2nd over of Shreyas Gopal with a six as well followed by a four. However, on the last three balls of the same over, Gopal took a hat-trick-as he dismissed, Kohli followed by AB de Villiers and Marcus Stoinis on a golden duck. Even in the last game between these teams, Gopal had dismissed Kohli and De Villiers in the same over. Eventually, RCB reached a total of 62/7 in their quota of 5 overs.

During the toss, the RR openers, Liam Livingstone and Sanju Samson Started with a bang as the latter smashed Umesh Yadav for a four and a six in the first over itself. They added 41 runs for the first wicket before Samson getting out in the fourth over and the soon after that wicket the game got called off as the rain started pouring again.
