The battle for the no.1 position in IPL 2019 will be worth watching on Wednesday Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be hosting Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Chepauk stadium. CSK will be rating to gain the no.1 position again by beating their opponents, while the visitors must be looking to capitalize on their confidence after three consecutive victories.

These two teams will collide for the second time in this season. CSK have lost three of their last four league games because of which they have come down to the second position. But with MS Dhoni back leading the side, some improvement in the results can be expected.

Meanwhile, DC has been the most impressive side in this season of the IPL.  Under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer along with some apt support from Shikhar Dhawan and Kagiso Rabada, they have won eight out of their 12 encounters so far in this tournament and have secured the top spot by virtue of having a better net run-rate than CSK.

Murali Vijay scored 38 runs in his first game of the season and that will might help him retain his place. CSK could give Suresh Raina or Ambati Rayudu a break. With the comeback of Dhoni, Faf du Plessis and Ravindra Jadeja, the team management might for Dhruv Shorey and Mitchell Santner to warm the bench.
