Apart from the season opener of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019, there has rarely been a low scoring game. Since then, the scores of over 180 are being scored easily and the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have just crossed the limit with their exceptional batting display on super Sunday. If it was Jonny Bairstow to start the massacre, his opening partner David Warner made the life worse for the opposition bowlers against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

The pitch at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium has surprised one and all as he became one of the flattest decks of this season. Both the matches at the venue have been high-scoring so far and the ongoing second match has been the best. The SRH have posted a mammoth total of 231 runs after they were put in to bat first by Virat Kohli.

The massacre by the SRH openers lasted till the last over of the game as it started in the first over of Moeen Ali. The duo of Bairstow and Warner literally toying with the poor bowlers of the opposition. The latter played anchored well initially as Bairstow was going berserk on the other hand. Despite that Warner’s strike-rate was over 150 throughout the innings. It’s just that Bairstow was in a different mood on the day as he easily outscored the Australian.

While it was about clean hitting from Bairstow, Warner displayed how much the running between the wickets also help when s batsman isn’t able to hit the boundaries. The duo hardly played any dot ball during their opening stand of 185 runs which was a record-shattering one. With all respect to Bairstow, Warner literally stole the show in the slog overs. He just stepped on the gas like anything timing everything right from the outset.

May it be the shots down the ground, reverse sweeps, switch hits or maneuvering the ball for a couple, Warner did it all. Deservedly, he also scored his century and then came the trademark celebration. The famous jump with helmet in one hand and the wounded Tiger roared ferociously.

Here are the videos of their centuries:

Warner remained unbeaten on 100 off just 55 balls with five fours and as many sixes which proves that the Australian ran 50 % of runs on the way to one of his best IPL centuries.
