Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is among the most successful teams in the Indian Premier League history. They won two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014 under the talismanic leadership of Gautam Gambhir, who revived KKR from a struggling team to be among the most-strong team. Although Gambhir was not retained by the team management, the team still looks strong on papers.
Dinesh Karthik was named the skipper of KKR last year and led them to the third place in IPL 2018. He was among the runs throughout the season and led them from the front but his team had some loopholes. The franchise went for expensive buys and forgot to make a balanced team. That is why they roped in for bowling option this time around, who can give them the required X factor, which they missed last year.
