Punjab Kings batsman Chris Gayle has decided to leave the ongoing Indian Premier League 2021 due to bio-bubble fatigue. He has said being inside the bubble for a long time has affected him and he wants to come fresh in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE.
Gayle has been playing continuous cricket for a long time now. After playing in the T20I series for West Indies, he participated in the Caribbean Premier League before coming to the UAE for the Indian Premier League 2021.

“Over the last few months, I have been a part of the CWI bubble, CPL bubble followed by the IPL bubble, and I wish to mentally recharge and refresh myself. I want to refocus on helping the West Indies in the T20 World Cup and would like to take a break in Dubai. My thanks to the Punjab Kings for giving me the time off. My wishes and hopes are with the squad always. All the very best for the upcoming games,” said Gayle in the statement released by PKBS.
