Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Umran Malik has stolen the show with his fearsome pace in the games that he played in the Indian Premier League 2021 in the UAE. He put a fine show of fast bowling and bowled the fastest bowl of the season when he clocked 153 kmph.

SRH had a forgettable season as they won only three games out of the 14. In the last game, they were up against defending champions Mumbai Indians who posted a mammoth total of 235/9 in 20 overs and won the game by 42 runs. Despite the victory, MI failed to qualify for the playoffs and bowed out of the tournament.

After the conclusion of the game, India’s premium fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was seen having a chat with Umran Malik. Both players seemed busy in a healthy conversation.

Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan shared the picture of Bumrah and Umran Malik and captioned it “300 kmph in one picture.”

The 21-year-old, included in the team as a Covid-19 replacement for T Natarajan, debuted against Kolkata Knight Riders and grabbed instant attention, clocking over 150 kmph rather nonchalantly. He broke the 150-barrier again – this time by a good margin – when he ejected a 152.95 kmph thunderbolt to RCB’s Devdutt Padikkal to displace Lockie Ferguson from the top spot of the ‘fastest ball of the season’ list.

However, he received a reality test during the final league game against MI. Ishan Kishan targeted him and scored freely. He ended up leaking 48 runs in his quota of four overs and managed to get only one wicket. Ishan scored a flamboyant 84 runs in just 32 balls, which featured 11 fours and 4 sixes.
