Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings are facing each other in the 21st match of the Indian Premier League 2021 in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. Eoin Morgan invited Punjab Kings to bat first after winning the toss. The KL Rahul-led side got off to a poor start as they lost regular wickets and couldn’t kick on their innings.
When PKBS looked dead and buried at the 18th over mark with 98/7, Chris Jordan took matters into his own hands and scored some vital runs to give his team a fighting total. Jordan’s little cameo took his team’s total to 123/9 in 20 overs.

Jordan, first, smacked Pat Cummins for a four and a six in the 19th over. He didn’t stop there and unleashed madness on Prasidh Krishna as well, who conceded two sixes in the first three balls of his final over. Jordan looked in the mood to replicate Ravindra Jadeja’s finishing antics but Krishna deceived him with a slow ball.
The lanky pacer was dejected after conceding two sixes and couldn’t hold his emotions back after dismissing Jordan. Krishna fired few words as well towards Jordan and gave him a send-off.

KKR bowlers bowled in tandem to restrict PKBS for a below-par score. KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal tried their best to score quick runs but were unable to break the shackles. They scored less than run-a-ball. Chris Gayle was dismissed for a golden duck while Deepak Hooda scored only one run. PKBS lost the plot in the middle-overs when they lost wickets in a cluster.

Shivam Mavi conceded just 13 runs in his four overs and managed to dismiss Chris Gayle. Prasidh Krishna also shines with the ball as he managed three wickets in his four overs at the cost of 30 runs.
