Virat Kohli has very poor luck when it comes to winning the tosses. Be it the international cricket or the IPL, he wins only a few tosses. In the recently concluded series against England, Kohli managed to win only two tosses out of 11. However, things are changing with the start of IPL as Virat has won three tosses in the first four games of the IPL 2021.

An interesting incident occurred during the toss of the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals. However, when broadcaster Ian Bishop reminded Kohli that it’s him who won the toss, Kohli was taken by surprise.

RCB skipper, then, elected to bowl first at the Wankhede Stadium. It was a no-brainer decision as this ground supports the chasing side with a short boundary and beautiful batting surface. Any score less than 200 will be considered below par against the might of RCB’s batting.

Both teams made a tactical change into their playing XI. Rajasthan Royals brought Shreyas Gopal in place of Jayadev Unadkat because of the former’s excellent record against Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. RCB dropped Rajat Patidar and included Australian quick Kane Richardson to further strengthen their bowling lineup.

Amidst, RR got off to a nightmarish start with three wickets falling inside the powerplay before Sanju Samson, also, threw his wicket in the 8th over. Mohammed Siraj took big wickets of Jos Buttler and David Miller while Kyle Jamieson got better of Manan Vohra.
