Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag feels Virat Kohli owes one IPL title to Royal Challengers Bangalore after sending so many years with the franchise. Kohli is leading RCB since 2013 but failed to take his team to the distance.
Virat Kohli, recently, announced his decision to leave the Indian T20I team’s captaincy after the conclusion of the T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE. Kohli hasn’t won any ICC event as well as an IPL title under his captaincy.

However, Sehwag wants Kohli to win an IPL title for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
“IPL is important for every captain, but I think more so for Virat, as with his huge fan base, everyone wants Virat to win a trophy for the Bangalore franchise. If not multiple times, then at least once in his tenure as captain,” Sehwag told PTI.
“This has been a strange year off the field due to the pandemic and who knows it might be a different year for Bangalore from previous seasons and they go on to win the trophy.”
Meanwhile, the second leg of the Indian Premier League 2021 will resume in the UAE from September 19 with the match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians.
Sehwag backs Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals as favourites to win the title this year.

“Since the second half has been shifted to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, I think Delhi and Mumbai will again be favourites and the five-time champions are slightly ahead,” he said.
The 42-year-old believes the pitches in the UAE will slow down. Hence, Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore are likely to face problems in the second leg of the season.
“Chennai’s average score in India was 201 during the first phase but I think when it comes to UAE tracks, they would be lacking a bit in batting firepower. If I have to pick one team, that will be Mumbai,” Sehwag added.
Royal Challengers Bangalore will resume their season against Kolkata Knight Riders on September 20 in Dubai.
