Delhi Capitals (DC) will be locking horns with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 45th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumba. Both teams are coming off a win in their previous game and will be riding high on confidence. LSG seems to have benefited hugely from the inclusion of Mohsin Khan in the last couple of matches.
Mohsin has been quite impressed one and all with the ball and they are likely to go in with the same XI for the upcoming game against DC. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals pulled off a crucial win against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) but still, they have some areas to address in their planning.

Kuldeep Yadav bowled just three overs in the previous game despite managing to scalp four wickets which did raise a few eyebrows and Mitchell Marsh desperately needs runs under his belt as well. The side has been bolstered with the inclusion of Chetan Sakariya who was impressive as well in the absence of Khaleel Ahmed.

There are certain chances that DC will employ more spin upfront. Their pacers have picked the fewest wickets in powerplays this season. Additionally, Quinton de Kock was dismissed a couple of times in 20 balls by Kuldeep Yadav, and KL Rahul has been dismissed twice by Axar Patel in 16 balls. Khaleel Ahmed suffered a hamstring injury ahead of the last game and it could be a toss-up if Khaleel passes fit before the game.

Pandya has dismissed Pant thrice but against a strike rate of close to 160. Additionally, Pant’s record against pace (6 dismissals) this season will make KL Rahul rethink his plans.
