IPL 2024 has been going on in full swing as the fourth week has finished on a high note. While Mumbai Indians are still struggling with their form, most of the teams managed to score pretty well. Here we will look at how the teams performed in the fourth week of the tournament.

Match 22: Kolkata Knight Riders vs Chennai Super Kings – Chennai Super Kings won by 7 wickets
Hits: MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai witnessed a low-scoring game where CSK batters played great innings, especially the captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad. Only Shreyas Iyer scored 34. Tushar Deshpande and Ravindra Jadeja claimed 3 wickets each.
Misses: KKR players failed to step up – be it batting or bowling.
Match 23: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Punjab Kings – Sunrisers Hyderabad won by 2 runs
Hits: Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur in Chandigarh saw a thrilling game where Nitish Reddy played a stunning knock for SRH. Arshdeep Singh claimed a four-fer. For PBKS, Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma stole the show with the bats.
Misses: Bowlers from each end failed to step up. While Harpreet Brar gave away 48 runs in 4 overs, Jaydev Unadkat conceded 49 and these can be a matter of concern for their respective sides as well.
Match 24: Rajasthan Royals vs Gujarat Titans – Gujarat Titans won by 3 wickets
Hits: Another thrilling and high-scoring catch was seen at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur where Gujarat Titans put a break on Rajasthan Royals’ winning spree, although Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag scored quickfire fifties. Shubman Gill also led from the front, scoring 72 off 44. Later, Rashid Khan’s 11-ball 24 sealed the deal.
Misses: Bowlers couldn’t do much with the ball.

Match 25: Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Mumbai Indians – Mumbai Indians won by 7 wickets
Hits: Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai hosted yet another high-scoring game between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians. Faf du Plessis, Rajat Patidar, and Dinesh Karthik all smashed quick fifties for RCB. For MI, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav did well with the bat. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah claimed a fifer (5/21)
Misses: Bowling units failed to restrict the opponent within a chasable total whereas another team failed to defend as well.
Match 26: Lucknow Super Giants vs Delhi Capitals – Delhi Capitals won by 6 wickets
Hits: Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow hosted the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals. Ayush Badoni scored a quick 55 whereas Kuldeep Yadav picked up 3 for 20. Jake Fraser-McGurk and Rishabh Pant too did well with the bat for DC.
Misses: Khaleel Ahmed, Khaleel Ahmed and Krunal Pandya’s bowling can be a matter of concern moving forward.
Match 27: Punjab Kings vs Rajasthan Royals – Rajasthan Royals won by 3 wickets
Hits: A thrilling game was seen at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur in Chandigarh. Ashutosh Sharma scored a quick knock. Yashasvi Jaiswal also played a quick 39. Keshav Maharaj and Kagiso Rabada did well with the ball.
Misses: Overall batting and bowling performance from both teams weren’t up to the mark.

Match 28: Lucknow Super Giants vs Kolkata Knight Riders – Kolkata Knight Riders won by 8 wkts
Hits: At Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Kolkata Knight Riders registered a convincing win. Nicholas Pooran and Philip Salt did well with the bat for LSG and KKR respectively. Starc scalped 3 wickets.
Misses: LSG bowlers failed to step up.
Match 29: Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians – Chennai Super Kings won by 20 runs
Hits: Chennai Super Kings registered a win by 20 runs at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai against MI. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube stole the show with the bat. Rohit Sharma made headlines with another IPL hundred.
Misses: Majority of MI batter failed to step up.
