Gujarat Titans (GT) are set to host Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Match 67 of IPL 2025 at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 25. The Titans, currently topping the points table, have had a commanding season with nine wins from thirteen matches and are already eyeing a strong finish heading into the playoffs.

In contrast, CSK’s campaign has been disappointing. With just three wins from thirteen outings, the five-time champions are languishing at the bottom of the standings and are already out of playoff contention. In their last match, GT suffered a 33-run defeat to Lucknow Super Giants despite a gritty 57 from Shahrukh Khan. CSK, on the other hand, lost to Rajasthan Royals by six wickets, with Ayush Mhatre’s 43 being the lone highlight.
This will be the eighth meeting between the two sides in IPL history, with GT holding a narrow 4-3 advantage. In Ahmedabad, GT have won both their league-stage games against CSK, though their only defeat came in the 2023 IPL final.

Gujarat Titans (GT)

Gujarat Titans (GT) head into their final league match with a full-strength Indian contingent but will miss key overseas stars like Jos Buttler and Kagiso Rabada as the playoffs approach. Despite that, GT still have the firepower to trouble Chennai Super Kings (CSK), especially with the ball.
Pace and bounce could be vital in countering CSK’s emerging batters, Ayush Mhatre and Dewald Brevis. Someone like Prasidh Krishna, who thrives on hitting the deck, or Rabada’s raw pace could prove effective. GT will also fancy Rabada’s past success against Shivam Dube, while Rashid Khan versus R Ashwin remains another favourable matchup.
