The IPL 2026 auction took place on Tuesday, December 16, in Abu Dhabi. 350 players were there in the auction as all ten franchises were involved in the bidding wars. Many big names like Cameron Green, Venkatesh Iyer, and Liam Livingstone were in the auction, and they fetched a huge sum at the auction.
Meanwhile, three-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders will be there with the biggest purse of Rs 64.3 crore. However, 77 players were sold in the auction, with all 10 teams completing their 25-member quota as well.

During Auction
Cooper Connolly: KKR bid for Cooper at his base price of INR 2 crore. PBKS also bid for him and eventually bought him for INR 3 crore.
Ben Dwarshuis: PBKS and CSK bid for him at his base price of INR 1 crore. Soon, GT joined them, but Punjab finally bought him at INR 4.40 crore as well.
Pravin Dubey: PBKS bought him for his base price of INR 30 lakh. They get Vishal Nishad, too, for the same price as well.
