Binny is back in RR
Rajasthan Royals has bought their old horse Stuart Binny, who played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in previous seasons. RR buy him on his base price of 50 lakh and RCB didn’t opt their Right to Match card for this all-rounder.
Stokes and Rahane goes to Rajasthan Royals
Rajasthan Royals has been one franchise, who believes in buying talents rather than names. However, they broke the shackles this time and grabbed the most expensive buy of previous IPL. No prize for guessing, England all-rounder Ben Stokes will play for them in the next season, who made a bid of 12.50 crore to get him.
Sanju Samson, who has played for them in the earlier seasons, was acquired for a whopping INR 8 crores. Jos Buttler, who played for Mumbai Indians in the last season, was acquired by RR for INR 4.4 crores.
Hobart Hurricanes’ D’Arcy Short was acquired by RR after an intense battle for INR 4 crores. Royals also bought his Hurricanes’ teammate in Jofra Archer for INR 7.2 crore.
The franchise has already retained Australian skipper Steve Smith.
