The defending champions’ skipper David Warner is the leading run-scorer in IPL 2017. He played his best innings of the season against KKR and helped his team to stay in contention for playoffs. It was just crazy strokeplay, to say the least. Warner literally played with the line and lengths of the KKR bowlers and rushed his way to smashing innings of 126 off just 59 deliveries with the help of 10 fours and 8 sixes.

Warner surpassed the 100-runs mark in the first 10 overs and looked set for a world record double century if he remained till the last. He was finally dismissed by a well covered slower delivery by Chris Woakes but by then he had literally irritated the star-studded KKR bowling line-up. Because of his innings, SRH defeated the two-time champions by a big margin of 48 runs.
