The English all-rounder Ben Stokes has been one of the most talked about cricketers since the IPL auctions 2017, as he was brought by RPS for a whopping price of INR 14.5 crores during the IPL auctions. The southpaw proved his worth in the unbeaten match-winning century which helped Pune to chase down a powerful target after getting reduced to 10/3 at one stage.

During those innings, Stokes displayed his reckless strokeplay and scored his maiden IPL century to announce his arrival with the bat. He was harsh on the spinners and smashed 7 fours and 6 sixes during his impressive knock. It was his majestic hitting which justified his worth in the auctions.

Getting applause from a legend like Sachin Tendulkar simply means that the person has done something big. Delhi batsman Rishabh Pant received all these praises after his innings of 97 off just 42 balls against the Gujarat Lions which helped Delhi chase down the target of 208 with 3 overs to spare. Tendulkar said that it was one of the best innings he has observed in all these 10 seasons of the IPL.

Pant smashed the Gujarat bowlers all around the park, as he unleashed big shots almost every ball. During the innings of 97, he smashed 9 sixes and 6 fours. It was ruthless hitting by the pocket-sized dynamo and he deserved a century. There wasn’t an area where he didn’t score. Though he preferred the leg-side, he was as productive on the off side as well.
