Chandigarh airport will be closed for repairs between May 12 to 31. In such a situation, the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) has urged BCCI to change the venue of two home matches of Kings XI Punjab. Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) is scheduled to play four matches in Mohali between May 4 and 14.
Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) has to play against Kolkata Knight Riders on 12th May, while they will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 14. Punjab have to play against Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on 4 and 6 May.
Also read: Virender Sehwag Reveals His Expectations From The Big Names Of KXIPThe IPL Governing Council has decided to swap the dates of Kings XI Punjab’s home games with the first three games being scheduled to take place in Mohali (in April) and the last four games in Indore (in May) because of the above-stated issues.
As per the revised program, KXIP will play in Mohali on (April 15, 19 and 23) instead of Indore. However, Indore stadium has been benefitted from the arrangement as they will now be hosting four matches on May 4, 6, 12 and 14.

Talking about the logistical issues, BCCI’s acting president, CK Khanna said, “There were logistical difficulties that teams would have encountered had KXIP played their home games in Mohali in May. Therefore the IPL GC has decided that the dates will be swapped and Indore will now host all their matches in May.”
