Gujarat Lions’ pacer Basil Thampi was one of the most reliable bowlers for his team. Lions have made various changes in their side throughout the season. But Thampi was the player who played each and every game for the lions, apart from their skipper Suresh Raina.

Thampi has been one of the emerging players this season. He has impressed most of the cricket experts with his pace and the ability to bowl consistent yorkers. This season he has taken 11 wickets in 12 matches. However, he has been a bit expensive in conceding runs, as his economy in the season was 9.49 but he will only improve as he will play more games.
