In the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), it has been a tough journey for the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) squad in the ongoing season. They have lost four games so far in five games and the latest defeat against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) was a bit harsh. The three-time champions thumped by 10 wickets with Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis stitching a record unbeaten record of 181 runs to take their team over the line.

Understandably, KXIP is still struggling to find their best possible XI and KL Rahul, leading the team for the first time, is feeling the pressure. Former Indian all-rounder, Irfan Pathan has made his life a bit easy with his suggestion ahead of the team’s next game.

Irfan reckons KXIP should include Arshdeep Singh, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Deepak Hooda in their playing XI to make the team look much better. Rather, they had made three changes in their squad in the game against CSK. Arshdeep played three matches for the same team in 2019 as well and seems to be a decent southpaw pacer.

Even Deepak Hooda’s inclusion makes sense given the fact that Sarfaraz Khan has failed to deliver as per the expectations in limited chances. Hooda will strengthen the batting order and has the ability to play according to situation.

To solve some of their problems, Irfan Pathan has suggested the team should consider including Afghanistan spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman in the team. It was surprising to see him to warm the match in the first match as he was coming off a decent stint in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). It remains to be seen now if the Punjab-based franchise make these three changes suggested by Irfan.
