The young Indian opener, Ishan Kishan has taken a leap of 68 positions to storm into the top-10 of the ICC rankings for T20I batters on Wednesday. Ishan has now reached No.7 in the rankings and is the only Indian in the top 10 ICC t20I rankings. Kishan is currently the top run-scorer in India’s 5-match T20I series against South Africa. He has so far scored 164 runs in 3 matches, including a couple of half-centuries.
Before the Indian Premier League (IPL), Ishan Kishan had also starred with a blazing 89 in a T20I against Sri Lanka. Ishan Kishan was brought back by Mumbai Indians (MI) for INR 15.25 crore, but after hitting back-to-back half-centuries in the first couple of matches, he faced a dip in form.

Meanwhile, Pakistan skipper, Babar Azam retained his No.1 position in the ICC rankings for T20I batters; his opening partner Mohammad Rizwan moved up to No.2 and replaced Aiden Markram of South Africa. Australia limited-overs skipper, Aaron Finch has also taken a leap in the ranking by reaching the No.5 position.

Sri Lanka spinner Maheesh Theekshana has also taken a jump of 16 positions and is currently placed eighth in the rankings for T20I bowlers. Theekshana recently played for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL and is currently taking part in the ODI series against Australia.

Teh veteran New Zealand opener, Martin Guptill has witnessed a dip of a couple of positions to reach the No.10 position with 658 rating points. Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi remains the top-ranked all-rounder with Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan at No.2. Apart from being in the top 10 of the bowling rankings, Wanindu Hasaranga is ranked No.10 in the rankings for all-rounders.
