Ahead of the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, Delhi Capitals (DC) shared a fielding highlight video of the veteran pacer, Ishant Sharma, who recently received the coveted Arjuna Award on Twitter. The Indian pacer is expected to play a crucial role for the Delhi-based franchise, and the social media shows that he is well-prepared for his team’s first match on September 20, when they will be lockin horns with Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).
Captioning the video of the same, Delhi Capitals wrote: “Baayein Haath ka Khel feat. @ImIshant #Dream11IPL #YehHaiNayiDilli”.

The video is of a fielding practice session in the team’s bio-secure bubble in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Ishant can be seen standing near the boundary, and the ball is sent to him by a coach. The 32-year-old takes some long strides in a nonchalant manner and catches the ball with his left hand itself.

Ishant is a right-arm pacer and is also one of the senior plays in the Indian Test team. An Arjuna Awardee, he has represented the likes of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS), and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the IPL. He is also part of Delhi’s state cricket team.
The franchise-based T20 league is scheduled to be commencing on September 19, with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be locking horns with Mumbai Indians in the tournament. Under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer, the team will be aiming to reach the final this season, after missing out on it in 2019.
