India’s one of the dependable middle-order batting all-rounder Kedar Jadhav has not been in a great form in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League  (IPL). He is currently playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Jadhav has scored 168 runs at an average of 20.25 and with the strike rate of 96.42, including 3 sixes and 19 fours. Having won their 8 matches out of 12, Chennai is currently at the top of the point table with 16 points.

However, Chennai always found themselves in trouble whenever their captain MS Dhoni doesn’t play. Dhoni has missed two games due to health issues and the one was yesterday against Mumbai Indians (MI). The team couldn’t chase down the total 156 and they were bundled out within 109, their lowest score at home.

Their one of the key players Kedar Jadhav also failed to impress with the bat. He scored only 6 runs and got out off Krunal Pandya. However, the head coach of Chennai, Stephen Fleming has shared that Kedar Jadhav’s form is not a concern for the upcoming ICC World Cup. However, his 58 against Mumbai came for a losing cause.

“He would like to do more. He is building towards a World Cup as well. There are expectations of him to play a key role. But we need a little bit more from him. Jadhav has the finishing ability to manipulate the field, but he is good enough to play an anchor role as well,” Head Coach Fleming said to Sportstar.

“He is disappointed that he hasn’t made most of the opportunities he got. We have been losing many wickets which suggests that most players are in search of form. T20 is a hard game to play and it demands consistency when you play down the order,” Fleming further added.
