James Anderson Resumes Training at Old Trafford in Manchester

The cricketing calendar has suffered because of the Corona Virus. All cricketing activities in England have been suspended since mid-March due to the same. We didn’t see any games for a period of over 2 months. All the cricketers are were stuck indoors due to the lockdown. On Monday, veteran England pacer James Anderson shared his thoughts on being back after being involved in individual training.

England’s team training is positive news for everyone as it indicates the resumption of Cricket. Anderson took to social media and shared a video of himself training and running at the Old Trafford in Manchester.  In the video, the pacer is seen steaming into and bowling deliveries. Anderson captioned the post with, “I’ve missed this place! Slowly easing through the gears but enjoying being back.”

Anderson’s bowling partner Stuart Broad noticed the post. He came up with a cheeky commented on the Instagram post and commented with, “Tight Shorts.”

Earlier, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) selected 18 pacers who were allowed for individual training sessions across different grounds in England.

James Anderson and Start Broad are England’s first and second highest test wicket-takers who were a part of the 18-pacers group. Last Thursday English pacer Stuart Broad also resumed his training at Trent Bridge Stadium in Nottingham.

Start Broad spoke with his fans and shared about the different experiences he had while training for the first time after the lockdown. He spoke on following all guidelines and shared about everything else by providing live updates to his fans.

Speaking with CNN Sport’s Amanda Davies via Instagram Live, Anderson said, “We’re lucky (in England) that most Test matches are sold out, certainly the first few days, we get big crowds so motivating yourself isn’t an issue.”
