Jasprit Bumrah once again showed why he’s considered one of the most lethal bowlers in world cricket, delivering a fiery yorker to dismiss Washington Sundar during the high-stakes IPL 2025 Eliminator between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans. The match, held at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, witnessed a classic Bumrah moment in the 14th over of Gujarat’s chase.

With Mumbai Indians desperate for a breakthrough and Gujarat cruising at 148 for 2, thanks to an 84-run partnership between Sai Sudharsan and Sundar, Hardik Pandya turned to his trusted strike weapon. Bumrah responded immediately, conceding just three singles before producing a toe-crushing yorker that left Sundar completely undone.

Aimed perfectly at the base of the leg stump, the delivery was unplayable. Sundar attempted a flick but missed it altogether, and the stumps were rattled.

Jasprit Bumrah, pumped with adrenaline, didn’t hold back and gave Sundar a fierce send-off, marking the wicket as a crucial turning point. Sundar had played a blistering knock, scoring 48 off just 24 deliveries, including five fours and three sixes, keeping GT’s hopes alive during the high chase.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians posted a mammoth 228 for 5, riding on Rohit Sharma’s classy 81 and a 47-run blitz from Jonny Bairstow. The stakes remain sky-high, with a place in Qualifier 2 against Punjab Kings on the line.
