Indian pacer Jaydev Unadkat was overlooked by the Indian selectors when they sit to select the national team for the upcoming home series against New Zealand. He wasn’t selected in the T20I and Test squad while he couldn’t find a place in the India ‘A’ squad either for the tour of South Africa.
He has been a constant performer at domestic cricket but he always found himself on the wrong side of the selection. Now, Unadkat shared a video where he was seen hitting boundaries for fun during a domestic game.

He scored stroke-filled 58 runs in 32 balls against Hyderabad in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021. He smashed three sixes and six fours against the bowling line-up featuring the likes of Mohammed Siraj.
Unadkat shared the video while and captioned it, “Just another pace bowler who can bat.”

This tweet is being seen as a direct hit-back towards the Indian selectors who have been ignoring him for quite a while now. India’s white-ball team is missing a fast-bowling all-rounder since Hardik Pandya’s back injury. By mentioning his batting skills, Unadkat gave a hint that he can also be considered for the role.

India will play New Zealand in a three-match T20I series and two-match Test series, starting from November 17.
