Walking in to open the innings for SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) during the ongoing match against Mumbai Indians (MI), Jonny Bairstow unleashed upon the MI bowlers on Saturday at the Chepauk. The English batsman, who has been playing down the order in the first couple of matches, was promoted to open the innings with Wriddhiman Saha was being rested.
Bairstow particularly wreaked havoc in the third over of the game as he decided to go all guns blazing against the Kiwi speedster Trent Boult. The English batsman caused destruction on the field, quite literally, as he broke the team fridge with his powerful six off Trent Boult over the long-on boundary.

In the third over of the chase, Bairstow thumped Boult’s third delivery over mid-off to shatter his team fridge’s glass into pieces. Bairstow blitz has left netizens awestruck as he leads the chase against MI’s total. Apart from scoring 18 runs off Boult’s 3rd over, Bairstow smashed 19 runs off Adam Milne’s first over.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians elected to bat first after winning the toss and they made one change in their squad by replacing paceman Adam Milne for Marco Jansen. On the other hand, SRH made as many as four changes to their line-up as they look for their first victory of IPL 2021. In their playing XI, Virat Singh, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Khaleel Ahmed, and Abhishek Sharma came in for Wriddhiman Saha, Jason Holder, T Natarajan, and Shahbaz Nadeem.

Despite having a good start, MI only managed to set a target of 151 runs with Kieron Pollard playing a whirlwind knock of 35 runs.
