SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener, Jonny Bairstow and David Warner came out all guns blazing to provide a blazing start to their team against the Mumbai Indians in Chennai. Bairstow and Mumbai worked their way through a dominating partnership of 67 runs while chasing a modest total of 151 runs. But Jonny Bairstow’s sparkling knock of 43 from 22 balls ended in a tame manner as Krunal Pandya took his wicket.
Krunal Pandya, who came for his second over, had to strike as SunRisers Hyderabad was quickly running away with the game. The left-arm spinner produced something out of nowhere by dismissing Bairstow, who wanted to ramp it fine; however, he stretched his back leg to the extent that he hit the stumps. It gave the defending champions its first breakthrough and suddenly the run-rate of SRH came down.
